MISSION STATEMENT

TANGO IN LANCASTER COUNTY

a.k.a. TLC Tango

An Unincorporated Non-Profit Association

ORGANIZATIONAL PURPOSE:

1) Provide a forum where members may regularly meet to learn, practice, perform and otherwise enjoy Authentic Argentine Tango dancing, music and culture.

2) Promote the interest, support, growth and involvement of its members and the public in Argentine Tango by conducting some or all of the following activities:

          a) Holding dances, functions and meetings on a regularly scheduled basis to increase membership and maintain and expand the participation of members.

          b) Joining with other dance organizations in exchanging ideas, attending their conventions and functions, and fostering inter-organizational relationships.

3) The organization may encourage members to take lessons to improve their knowledge and dancing; provided, however, the organization shall not be affiliated with any specific studio or professional dance instructor (defined as a business, entity, or individual person who teaches dancing for compensation). All teachers and students from any or all studios are welcome to attend dances, workshops or other activities of the organization and are entitled to hold membership in the organization.
